BREAKING DOWN BARRIERS ON THE WATER: BOATING ON BELLINGHAM BAY

630PM // VIRTUAL EVENT

Cost: FREE

Hosted by Sara Welsh and the Community Boating Center.

Perhaps one of Bellingham's most tantalizing features, the thing that drew so many of us to the City of Subdued Excitement,  is it's proximity to outdoor recreation.  From Galbraith to Baker, the Chuckanuts to Lake Whatcom, there are endless opportunities for adventure.  Ironically, perhaps the most underutilized toy of this outdoor playground is it's focal point, Bellingham Bay.

Join the Community Boating Centers Sara Welsh in a conversation about how to play on the Bay and grow confidence as a Womxn on the Water!

BONUS:  We'll have a fun quiz at the end of the presentation to win CBC paddle passes!  You won't want to miss this.

MOUNTAIN BIKING IN BELLINGHAM: BREAKING DOWN BARRIERS TOGETHER

6PM // VIRTUAL EVENT

Cost: FREE

What are your barriers to mountain biking in Bellingham Washington?

Whether you are new to the sport or have been mountain biking for decades, we want to hear about what barriers you encounter when you think about heading up the mountain. Our ride leaders will be facilitating this conversation by listening to your experiences, as well as sharing some of their own personal challenges. It's time to normalize our barriers!

Every individual experiences challenges when accessing the mountain, and we hope that conversations like this will help us all bridge these gaps together.

Shifting Gears believes in inclusive recreation, and conversations like this one can help us all feel more confident going outside our comfort zones to try something new. This will be a space to share stories, trade tips and tricks for overcoming the things that stop us from getting out on the mountain, and empower you to reach new heights.

This will be an online zoom event for all womxn mountain bikers to attend and participate.
